About Event

Shaastra is the annual technical festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM), the first student-run festival in the world to get an ISO 9001 certification. Boasting a footfall of over 50,000, it is one of India’s largest technical festivals. Shaastra 2020 marks the 20th edition of the festival spanning over 4 days with a plethora of events, workshops, professional shows, exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, the summit and the Shaastra Technology and Policy (STeP).

Events

With Shaastra Tech and Policy (STeP), Shaastra ventures into a realm yet to be touched by any other tech fest in India by providing a knowledge sharing and a competitive platform for students in both the policy and technology fields.

A 3-month-long policy formulating and implementation competition, with a prize money of INR 120,000 and free exclusive access to the Technology and Policy conference at IITM. To top it all, winners get a chance to implement their solutions as well.
